What do you need?
- Minced Meat: Mutton/Lamb/Chicken/Beef
- Peas
- Onion
- Cooking Medium:
- Ghee, Mustard Oil, Other cooking oils in order of preference
- Spices
- Bay Leaves: Whole
- Cardamom: Whole
- Cinnamon: Whole
- Ginger Paste
- Garlic Paste
- Turmeric powder
- Red Chili Powder
- Coriander Powder
- Cumin Powder
- Salt
- Optional
- Coriander leaves
- Ginger slices
- Green chili
- Lemon juice
How to cook
Heat cooking medium in a pan. Add Whole spices and fry for a while. Add sliced onions and fry till they become translucent and soft. Add ginger and garlic pastes. Fry for some more time. Add rest of the spices and the minced meat. Keep frying for sometime. Keep stirring. Usually for chicken around 10 minutes is sufficient. Add water, salt and peas and cover an cook in medium heat for another 5-10 minutes or till you achieve the desired amount of gravy.
Serving Tips
Serve hot in a bowl with Indian breads (Roti, Naan etc.) as side dish. Garnish with coriander leaves, sliced green chili, ginger slices and bit of lemon juice.
Eating Tips
Hold some of the meat between a small piece of bread, using your hand and eat them together.
